There are paintings in my print pages that are not my usual vertical images.
I sometimes find places in my wanderings that must be documented. On previous pages, moons that needed a place to be seen, if only by me. They've sold and I'm thankful.
The piece above was found in Phippsburg, ME, on a road that was a detour I had to take to get to my favorite campgrounds in Small point, ME.
I was grumpy as I wanted to get there to set up the tent before nightfall. As I passed
this cemetery, I realized all that mattered was that I was given the chance to see something I would never have encountered in my normal travels. A lesson learned,
that detours in life really matter.
It is proudly hanging in one of the Offices of Justice in Philadelphia, PA
